Coming Soon - 4th Book

Lee Carson's 4th book - A Corporate Affair

Victor Gladstone entered the lobby of Bishop Industries Ltd. with a firm step and a slight swirl to his grey jacket.  He gave the impression of authority and reflected his position of General Manager of a multi-national company.

As he stopped to greet Sally, the young blond receptionist, he was struck by her youthful charm.  As she smiled at him something struck him, an unusual feeling of sexual attraction.  Immediately he was reminded of his dead wife, and for a fleeting moment, imagined Sally in her place:  as his wife.  He dismissed the thought immediately.  It would be utterly impossible for a man in his position to link up with a lowly office worker.

As he strode up the stairs to the executive office, Sally's eyes followed the tall, dark haired, good looking man.  A thrill ran through her and she sighed.  No good thinking of him romantically, he was beyond her hopes.  Or was he?

About the Author - Lee Carson

My writing reflects some of my earlier life’s experiences and shows my philosophy that joyful love is the key to growth and spirit. I have written over thirty poems, one published and one in the process. Also, I have written three mainstream novels with a fourth underway. They include experienced of a childhood in wartime England, emigration to Canada as a teenager, a marriage that ends in divorce due to alcohol, return to England by marriage, with the subsequent death of my second husband due to cancer. Two years later I married an Austrian (who served in the German army) who also died of cancer, after a decade of romantic love and a magical marriage. Both in Canada and England I enjoyed a business career working as an executive assistant to captains of industry. Some of these experiences are included in my novels.

My writing started with poems, and then developed into novels. They include outlines of the passages of my life’s journey. I have had a professional critique done on two of my novels (both with high marks), and have had favorable comments from numerous agents. Recently one described my work as “compelling.”

To sum up I have experience in:

  • The Second World War, Battle of Britain, etc.;
  • Vancouver, Canada in the 50's including music, fashion and lifestyle;
  • Alcoholism, the downfall of a promising young man and all that entails;
  • Business life at the top with big companies in Canada and the U.K;
  • Cancer, death and events leading up to that of two beloved husbands;
  • Widowhood, how to handle this with hope and joy;
  • My interests also include oil painting, writing, reading and dancing.
